Importance of Planting Seeds

As an actor and a recording artist,  I  frequently get asked how I feel after I've not gotten a job or 20. I say, "Its ok I've planted a seed." Planting seeds in this business are extremely crucial. It's vitally important not to look at one casting as a step but more like a bridge, leading you to future opportunities. The more seeds you plant, the more you'll get known and the more likely you'll get work.

Planting seeds are not limited to castings but also to networking and meeting industry people. You want others to know your name, to know you exist. Eventually your seeds will grow and so will the opportunities. The opportunities will  become more substantial with time. Allow whatever it is you are growing to mature.

If you're a musician or a singer, put out music. Let people hear you and plant those seeds.

Go out and do things. Even if it's free or you might not see yourself right for the job. If you do a good job, whoever is behind the hiring will remember you.

Put yourself out there and see what comes back. If you're patient and determined, you'll be on the right track. 👍🌟
